Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also broken them in well that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.

How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.
Are they worth it?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also be smart.
